Hi everyone,
So far it looks like we’ve made it through the crazy weather with only a little damage to the cherries, plums and peaches. But I think we still have a pretty decent crop left on those three, and everything else looks good at this point. But we’re not out of the woods yet. It looks like the temperatures are going to keep dipping down around freezing several nights in the next couple weeks. We’re all keeping our fingers crossed!
In farm market news, we’re getting ready to bake a lot for Easter weekend. I got pie ordering set up in our online store for April 14th and 15th (we’ll be closed Easter Sunday). It works just like it did for Thanksgiving. You select your pies and the day you’d like to pick them up, then check out with Local Pickup as your shipping (since we haven’t figured out how to mail them well, yet). Anyway, it worked really well last fall, and when I didn’t set it up for Christmas and New Year’s, a lot of people missed it. So I brought it back for Easter. Here is the direct link. Also in the online store, we’re still shipping most of our apple gift boxes, as well as gift certificates.
Over at Bent Ladder this month, Fran and Matt have some great events planned. They’ll be offering two jewelry making classes (one making some Riveted Bangles and one making a Stamped Pendant and Earrings) and another Paint and Sip. Your registration fee includes all your materials, instruction, the use of the tools, a glass of cider and a bread and cheese app. I’ve included the photos and links below so you can get more info and register if you’re interested. You’re sure to have a great time!
That’s it for now. I’ll talk to you again soon. Thanks for your interest and for taking the time to read this!
