SnowSweet

Snow Sweet

Flavor: Sweet with hints of tartness

Approximate Ripening: Mid-late September

Uses: Eating

Trivia: Introduced by the University of Minnesota in 2006, SnowSweet is a cross between Sharon and Connell Red.

Notes: SnowSweet features a mild, pleasing sweetness that makes it a great apple when you don’t want something overpowering.  The apples are red on their sun side, green on their shaded side, and have flesh that’s off-white moving towards yellow.
