Typically, work starts around the beginning of June, but this of course depends on the status of the strawberry plants.  I have a mandatory Orientation Meeting in May for all who have applied for the job.  Once you apply, you will be added to the email list to receive all the important information.

Pay is compensated through piece-work, meaning you are paid for the marketable berries you pick in a day.  Wages are TBD and will be announced at the Orientation Meeting.  

Work hours are generally 8am-1pm, Tuesday-Saturday and 11-1 on Sundays.  We don’t work on MONDAYS.  Scheduling is sent by email on Sundays each week. You don’t have to work every day.  In fact, one of the perks of this job is that we are quite flexible and can usually work around limitations like sports or other activities.  We do ask that you show up when you are on the schedule, unless you are sick or have an emergency.  

Strawberry season lasts about three weeks. Mid-June we move some of our pickers into blueberry and raspberry plants. We are able to employ high-schoolers until early August and beyond, if they are willing to work on weekends. You MUST be 14 years old by the time picking starts to work here.
