Flavor: Crispy and somewhat tart
Approximate Ripening: Late September
Uses: Almost anything, particularly eating and hard cider
Trivia: Made in Ohio! Holiday was developed by the Ohio Agriculture Experiment Station in 1940 and came to market in 1964. It’s a cross between Macoun and Jonathan.
Notes: If you like Jonathan’s flavor but long for something crisper, give Holiday a try. Holiday bursts with Jonathan tartness, and it has that snap you’re looking for.
