PLEASE NOTE WE NO LONGER CAN DO 10# BUCKETS!!!! (6/18/24): We just got this notice from our cherry supplier:
“We were just contacted by the cherry farm, Peterson Farms. They will be unable to pack ANY 10# tart cherry buckets from this year and going forward. Their packing facility cannot be modified to accommodate our 10# pails. Unknown to us the past two years, they were never really able to run our pails through their automated lines. They were using manual methods to fill 10# pails, and they no longer have the resources or manpower to continue doing that as a special order for us.
We have been working with Peterson Farms trying to find a solution the past few days. They have reached out to their co-packers and even competitors, while we have reached out to other producers. It seems that ‘slush pack’, and especially smaller units cherries have become a thing of the past. We have the buckets. They have the cherries. But so far, no one has the capabilities to put the two together. We were informed of this AFTER 11,000 buckets were bought and delivered to them. Going forward the only options will be the 27# buckets and 5#IQF bags.”

It’s pre-order time for the Michigan tart cherries that we bring in every year.
These cherries are great! They come pitted. No sugar, no preservatives. So convenient to work with! The 27-lb tubs are slush packed in their own juice. If you get a bigger quantity than you need all at once, they’re super easy to divide up and freeze for later. The 5-lb bags are IQF (individually quick frozen).
We don’t have a set date for when they’ll be coming in yet, but it will be near the end of July. Once we find out the exact date, we’ll reach out to everybody who has placed an order. Deadline to order is July 2.
PLEASE NOTE: If our system asks you for a pickup date at checkout, it doesn’t matter what date you choose. We will still reach out to you when we find out when our delivery of cherries will be arriving here.
