U-pick Apples this Weekend!
Honeycrisp will no longer be offered for u-pick this season. However, you can still buy them pre-bagged in our store.
This weekend we are opening up the CrimsonCrisp, Autumn Crisp and Cortland. All three of these apples are great for eating out of hand. However, if you are looking to make sauce or pie, I would recommend Cortland.
Picking will be at the tippy top of our orchard this weekend, NOT the trees surrounding the market. Please do not use the paper apple bags you find in the store. These are not meant for u-pick. You will find a shed at the top of the hill where you can buy u-pick bags, CASH or CREDIT!
U-pick Flowers
Abbie and I went down to the u-pick flower garden for the first time last weekend. It was BEAUTIFUL. There is such a wide variety of flowers to pick. Even if you don’t know what you are doing when it comes to flower arranging, it’s super easy to simply cut flowers, put them in a jar and it ends up looking amazing. We also have really cool grasses and other greenery to add texture to your creations.
For you advanced flower folks, the celosia, rudbeckia, amaranthus, and zinnias are beautiful right now. 🙂
Abbie and Ollie Update
We can’t believe this little guy is 8 weeks old! We went to the Wayne County Fair this past week and had a blast. Ollie slept for most of it, but Abbie went on every ride she was tall enough to go on! He favorite was the burlap bag slide with Dada.
Oliver is starting to roll over from tummy to back…effectively trying to avoid tummy time!
