I’ve been working hard on the website all week, and I now have an online store up and running for your Thanksgiving orders! You can click on “Shop” in the menu, or here is the direct link.
All of the pies, as well as pumpkin rolls, apple dumplings and apple fritters are online. When you select the bakery item to add to your cart, you’ll have to choose which day and time slot you will want to pick it up (sorry, we still aren’t shipping bakery at this point). Then you check out via Paypal. If you don’t have a Paypal account, you can skip the account part and just pay with your credit card. That’s all there is to it.
I couldn’t get our cookies online because of all the different flavors and individual cookies versus discounted baker’s dozens. I apologize about that. Maybe in the future I’ll be able to make cookies available, if I can come up with a way to do it that I think will work well. For this Thanksgiving, orders involving cookies will have to be placed by phone or in person.
Also, I ran through all the troubleshooting I could think of, including paying for test orders of pies, and it all went very smoothly. But if you have any problems using the system, please let me know. Or if you have any other feedback, that’s also appreciated. I’m going to cut off the online ordering at 6pm the day before your pick up time (so for Tuesday pick up, the order cut off is 6pm on Monday the 21st. Wednesday orders will no longer be taken online after 6pm Tuesday the 22nd). But getting your order in at least a few days in advance really helps us out a lot, so we can make sure that we’ll have everything we need to make everyone’s full order.
That’s it for now. Since the online store is up and running, I’m now working on adding more things to it, like the apple gift boxes that we ship every year. Hopefully I’ll have more things online soon. Thanks for reading, and I hope you have a great weekend!!
