Coronavirus Update

03/23/2020

Dear Rittman Orchards Friends:

As this virus continues to spread through the state of Ohio, the Governor and the Department of Health have now issued a Stay at Home order. We are considered an essential business because we both grow and sell food, and we will be remaining open at this point.

HOWEVER, we are making some big changes in addition to the extra sanitation and safety precautions that we have previously mentioned. These changes are going into effect immediately. They are as follows:

  1. We are suggesting our curbside service for everyone. Curbside orders can be placed over the phone (330-925-4152), or you can place an online curbside service order here. Using our curbside service is, honestly, the best way you can continue to support us (and we very much appreciate all the amazing support we’ve had in these tough times!).
  2. We are required to maintain six foot distances between customers. In an effort to help with this as well as to minimize the potential exposure to other customers, our staff and ourselves, we are only allowing one person per party to enter our store. No groups will be allowed in together. This will minimize the number of people in our store at one time as well as minimizing our store’s overall potential for exposure.
  3. We are required to have separate operating hours for vulnerable populations. We are designating the first hour that we are open every day as this time. From 10-11am Tues-Sat and from 11am-noon on Sundays, only the elderly and other vulnerable customers will be allowed to enter our store. Everyone else will still be able to get curbside service from us during these times. We will deliver your order directly to your car.

This is a very difficult time for everyone, and these have been very difficult decisions for us to make. As a business, we have a responsibility to our customers, our staff, and our community, and we feel this is the best way we can live up to that responsibility. These policies are definitely an inconvenience, and for that we sincerely apologize, but we want to be here for you in some form as long as we can. We can get through this together!

A very heartfelt thank you to all of you for your patronage. Please be careful and stay safe out there,

The Vodraska Family
